The Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo recently released the Nintendo 3DS, a 3D videogame that works without 3D glasses. As groundbreaking as the device is, there have been reports that it causes dizziness. This really brought down the reputation of the device. In addition, the breakthrough of the device turned negative when Nintendo added a warning to say that the device could cause vision damage for children 6 years old or younger. A lot is riding on this system, because the videogame industry has fallen a lot due to the advancement of smart phones.
I saw the Nintendo 3Ds in Best Buy and spent about 10 minutes playing on it. I thought that it was so exciting and ground breaking to be able to see in 3D without glasses. However, after a few minutes I began to feel dizzy. I felt as if I was looking at the device cross-eyed. I can definitely see how it could cause vision damage in small children. I personally would not buy this device because I don't think that I could play too long without getting a headache. Also, the 3D can only be see in one angle. However, I still think that it is really cool. I think that this device definitely has some potential. It just needs some adjustments.
